Dr. Jacquelyn K. Davis
Dr. Davis is executive vice president of the Institute for Foreign Policy Analysis, Inc., and president of National Security Planning Associates, Inc. She has lectured and written widely on national security issues in the United States, as well as in NATO-European countries and in the Asia-Pacific region. Her analytical work in the security planning and technology development areas includes past participation in the Council on Foreign Relations study groups on national security issues. Her consultant work for government and industry has concentrated on U.S. force posture and planning, the defense policies of the NATO-European countries, counterproliferation planning and military defense options, arms control, and the future of U.S.-Alliance relationships.
Currently, she leads research efforts that focus on U.S. forward-presence requirements, theater missile defense options, and 2025 security planning. Dr. Davis served an unprecedented three-year term as chairperson of the Defense Advisory Committee on Women in the Services (DACOWITS). She is a member of the chief of naval operations' Executive Panel (CEP), the Council on Foreign Relations, the International Institute for Strategic Studies in London, and the congressionally established National Security Study Group (NSSG). She holds an M.A. and a Ph.D. in international relations from the University of Pennsylvania.
