Ms. Kate Kuehn

Ms. Kuehn joined IFPA in 2008 as a research associate in the Washington, D.C., office. Her work at IFPA has included support to the Rapid Strategic Assessment project for the NATO Special Operations Headquarters (NSHQ) as well as contributions to an ongoing project for the Department of Defense in support of the combatant commands and military service leadership. Her research interests include nuclear deterrence and counter-WMD planning and policy, strategic dynamics in Russia and the Eurasian region, and security challenges and stabilization operations in Central and South Asia.

Ms. Kuehn holds an M.A. in Russian, Eurasian, and East European Studies from the Georgetown University School of Foreign Service and graduated cum laude with a B.A. in government and Russian studies from the College of William and Mary. She also completed coursework at St. Petersburg University, Russia.
Ms. Kuehn holds U.S. and NATO security clearances. She is proficient in the Russian language and has a working knowledge of French.
